Armed police swarm bus station at major shopping complex after 'gun' spotted

Armed police surrounded a bus station at a major shopping complex after a 'gun' was spotted on Tuesday evening (January 28).

Officers were called to the station at Liverpool One, along Canning Place in the city centre at around 6.02pm. It followed a report of a group of youths seen in possession of a firearm.

Three teenagers have been arrested and a ball bearing gun has been recovered. There were no injuries reported in the incident, the ECHO reports.

Pictures from the scene on Tuesday night showed a number of police vehicles and vans parked up outside the bus station following the major emergency response.
