A 19-year-old was arrested after police discovered a gun after storming a house in a drugs raid in Oldham on Thursday morning (February 6).
Detectives had been monitoring the social media activity of an active drugs line as part of a major investigation before striking at 5am, bursting through the doors of a property on Harvey Street.
A number of items believed to be associated with drug supply were seized before officers searching the outside areas then uncovered a gun.
This firearm was later confirmed to be a converted Turkish-manufactured Top Venting Blank Firer (TVBF), which is subject to a current national amnesty where owners must surrender them to police stations.
