A man has been hospitalised following a shooting this afternoon. Armed police swarmed Fleetwood's Lane in Netherton, Merseyside, shortly after 3.40pm on Friday (August 2).
The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a gunshot wound to his buttock but is not believed to be in a life-threatening condition, according to the police.
Officers reported that a group of males dressed in black and with their faces covered fled the scene on electric bikes. The area around Fleetwood's Lane has been sealed off near St Ambrose Croft.
The armed response and emergency medical teams were spotted at the location around 4pm, just after the incident was reported.
