Montrose amid reports of an ‘ongoing incident’. Several marked police vehicles were spotted in the Ferry Road and Commerce Road area of the town at around 10.30am on Sunday, May 23.

One shocked onlooker told how officers carrying firearms approached the door of a property before shouting “armed police”.
