Renewed plans for Flamingo Land development at Loch LomondJohn added: “Our frustration is that so many people don’t know we are here.“We are aware of the fact there are hundreds of ex-army and navy service people throughout West Dunbartonshire but they don't know we exist.“We want to change that and make more people aware that we are here and want to help.”Earlier this year, the UK Government announced extra support for veterans due to the pandemic, including launching a consultation on tax relief for businesses that employ veterans.It also announced £6million of extra funding to support serving personnel, veterans and their families during the pandemic with the money handed to charities across the UK.However, the Dumbarton charity did not.
