A few weeks ago, the superstar made headlines and went viral with her amusing 2023 BAFTAs opening number, declaring: “Angela Bassett did the thing, Viola Davis, my Woman King!” Since then, she’s playfully poked fun at the huge moment at other awards shows, and several stars have also come out in her defense due to some social media mockery.
