Ant McPartlin's ex Lisa Armstrong off to LA 'for fresh start after toxic split and new money fight'

Lisa Armstrong is heading of to the States to start a new career in Hollywood to put her recent failed relationship and her past failed marriage behind her, it has been reported.

The makeup artist, 47, was married to ITV star Ant McPartlin, 48, from 2006 until 2018. The pair split after Lisa stood by him while his career was rocked by a drink and drug addiction scandal.

In their divorce settlement Lisa walked away with a £31 million pay off and then went on to date an electrician named James Green, 40, writes The Mirror.But the couple's relationship came to an explosive end this year with Lisa threatening legal action against James, claiming he owed her £100,000.

Now it has been reported Lisa wants to leave her past troubles and heartaches behind her for a new life in California.The make-up expert - who is currently painting faces on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing - is planning to fly to Los Angeles in January to spend time with her actor friend Craig Young, and will reportedly be on the search for work while she is there and could end up fully moving over to the US.A source told Closer magazine: “Lisa’s had a really rough time of it recently and she’s been in a dark place.
