Philippe Clement saluted his Rangers side for two sprint finishes as he picked up his first trophy as Ibrox boss - and challenged his side to stay hungry for the Scottish Premiership marathon.
The Belgian stuck the Viaplay Cup in the trophy cabinet just a couple of months after taking over at the Light Blues helm thanks to James Tavernier’s only goal of the final against Aberdeen at Hampden.
It comes after securing a Europa League last-16 spot and it was the first time Rangers had won the trophy in 12 years and Clement lapped up the wild celebrations with his staff, players and fans at full time.
Despite Celtic’s title slip up 24 hours earlier, Clement refused to entertain league glory talk but said: “The next couple of weeks and months is about confirming we are a growing team and growing club.
