Another Coronation Street star confirms exit and has already filmed final scenes after 'difficult decision'

Coronation Street star Paddy Bever has announced he is leaving the show - and has already filmed his final scenes. The actor took over the role of Max Turner back in 2021.

The actor, from Stockport took over the role from Harry McDermott, who played the role from 2010. The 11-year-old, from Bury, left to continue with his acting studies and explore other opportunities leading to Paddy being cast in the role.

As for Max, he has been in the sole custody of his step-father David Platt since his mother Kylie's death in 2016 and has lived with David, step-mum Shona Platt and younger sister Lily at No.8 Coronation Street ever since.

In an interview with Manchester Evening News, Paddy said that he auditioned for the role when he was still studying for his A levels. "I had an A level the next day so I made the decision not to revise for the A level and focus on the tape.
