Another 18 people have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after contracting coronavirus. The total number of lives lost to COVID-19 in our region now stands at 1,677 - up from 1,659 on Sunday.

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust recorded another seven deaths in its latest data. Another three patients died of coronavirus-related illnesses at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, while two more people lost their lives at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's hospitals.

The Royal Bolton also recorded two more death while another person died while under the care of Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
