AnnaLynne McCord is opening up about her “Dear President Vladimir Putin” video after receiving tons of backlash on social media.

The 34-year-old 90210 actress released the spoken word poem on Thursday (February 24) after the news that Russia invaded Ukraine. “Dear President Vladimir Putin, I’m so sorry that I was not your mother,” AnnaLynne begins the poem. “If I was a mother, you would have been so loved, held in the arms of joyous light.

Never would this story’s plight, the world unfurled before our eyes, a pure demise of nation sitting peaceful under the night sky.” In a new interview with BuzzFeed, AnnaLynne explained why she wrote the poem.
