Flamengo have confirmed that Andreas Pereira has returned to Manchester United after his loan spell with the Brazilian giants came to an end.

The 26-year-old played 53 games for Flamengo since joining the club on loan last August, scoring eight times, including a magnificent goal in his final game for the club in the Copa Libertadores earlier this week.

United and Flamengo had held talks about making the move permanent but they have come to nothing and his contract with the Brazilian side ended on Thursday.
