Emmanuel Adebayor has criticised Andre Onana after he delayed flying out to the Africa Cup of Nations for Cameroon in favour of playing for Manchester United.
The goalkeeper agreed to join up with Cameroon for their AFCON campaign in the Ivory Coast at a later date to enable him to represent United in matches against Wigan and Tottenham.
Onana started at Old Trafford on Sunday and began his journey after the game, but his private jet was stranded in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Monday morning due to bad weather conditions in Yamoussoukro, which is where Cameroon will play Guinea.
Onana’s cousin Fabrice Ondoa started in the 1-1 draw instead of him and the United goalkeeper had to be calmed down by former Liverpool player El Hadji Diouf, who was a guest at the stadium, after learning that he would not even be on the bench for the game.
