A man 'stabbed to death' on a cul-de-sac in Tameside has been named as a murder investigation continues. Rees Howarth, thought to be 28, died following the attack in Hyde on Sunday afternoon.
Today (Tuesday) police said two women - aged 19 and 27 - had been arrested on suspicion of murder after officers were called to reports of a 'domestic disturbance'.
The women remain in custody for questioning. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community On Tuesday morning, two forensic tents had been erected in a front garden and on the pavement outside and crime scene investigators could be seen taking photographs inside a terraced house on Thorsby Avenue.
Much of the small cul-de-sac remained cordoned off. One neighbour said she was in the back garden when she heard police arrive on the street at about 3pm on Sunday.
