STRICTLY chiefs have rewarded their professional dancers with new annual contracts for their work in the pandemic. The BBC1 dance show was able to go ahead because the pros lived apart from their families and partners for up to four months.
The cast selflessly formed bubbles with their paired celebrities for the duration. Now they have all been offered the chance to return later this year — including those who were not given a partner such as Neil Jones, 38, and Nadiya Bychkova, 31.
Katya Jones, 31, will also be back, after making history as part of the first same-sex couple, with boxer Nicola Adams, 38, before being forced to pull out of the series when she caught Covid.
