Alicia Keys will front a special Nickelodeon news programme that will address issues of race and amplify the experiences of black children in America.Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special, will see figures from the Black Lives Matter movement answer questions from children.It will also shine a light on the work of teenage activists and offer tools and advice to families on having conversations about race.Alicia said the show, airing tonight, is ‘important’ and ‘honest’.‘Talking about race can be sensitive and uncomfortable; and sometimes we try to protect our children from racism they are already experiencing,’ the singer said.‘But honestly, there is no way around this topic if we want to move forward in any kind of meaningful.
