Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Alfredo Morelos offers Rangers training return clue amid Covid red tape waiting game

Alfredo Morelos has offered an update on his return to Rangers training having flown back from Colombia. The striker has been on an extended summer break following the Copa America before he returned to his hometown of Cerete for a two-week family holiday.

The 25-year-old returned to Scotland and had been isolating amid Covid red tape holding up his Rangers training return. The restrictions mean anyone returning from either South American nation to Scotland must book in for a 10-day self-isolation stint at a quarantine hotel.

On Friday Steven Gerrard stated he expects him back "some time next week" as he missed the season opener against Livingston.
