Kate opened the show by welcoming him back, and praising him for his presenting. Alex then took the moment to thank fans for their flurry of positive comments about his hosting debut.
He then confessed he felt "empowered" by all the love, encouraging him to give it another go. Kate asked: "Did that feel good?" as the voiceover said his name, adding: "You came back then?" Alex replied: "That felt great!
