Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

Britain's Got Talent returned to screens on Sunday night, as the 17th series continued. Despite only launching on Saturday, viewers have already seen two golden buzzers handed out.Alesha Dixon was left in floods of tears on the ITV talent show on Sunday, as Ravi’s Dream Team took to the stage and left not a dry eye among the audience and panel.

They performed a rendition of The Greatest Showman's A Million Dreams.The choir, made up of people ranging from aged five to 78, saw eight-year-old BGT fan Ravi who was front and centre open up on his heartbreaking cancer battle.Ravi explained he was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago and wanted to show others battling the disease they can still go out and follow their dreams.He was joined on stage by his friends, family, teachers and medical professionals who have helped him since his diagnosis.

Alesha was given a hug by Simon Cowell as she broke down following the performance before pressing her golden buzzer.Reacting to them being put straight through into the semi-final shows, Simon said: "I think you are very talented, very brave and a very special person.

You deserve it - all of you by the way - that's why we have golden buzzers for people like you , so deserved."With tears streaming down her eyes, Alesha began: "Well, the golden buzzer is such a personal thing so I can only press when it feels right and you are such a remarkable young man," before she choked up and added: "I just loved it well done."
