Aldi is piloting a new click-and-collect service in the UK, with plans to roll the initiative out nationwide in the coming weeks.
The supermarket said it's currently running a trial for Aldi colleagues in a Midlands store, with plans to extend the scheme to all customers if successful.
As part of the trial, Aldi colleagues will be able to choose from a full range of grocery items online before visiting their store to collect the goods.
All items will be brought to their cars by store colleagues contact-free, in line with social distancing rules. If successful, the chain said "the trial will be extended to customers and at further stores across the country in the near future".
