Sex Education‘s Aimee Lou Wood‘s BBC romantic comedy series Film Club has built out cast. She is penning Film Club with Ralph Davis (House of the Dragon), who is also starring in the show, and added to the cast are Suranne Jones (Vigil, Doctor Foster) and Nabhaan Rizwan, whose Netflix drama Kaos was recently cancelled.

Adam Long (Happy Valley, Masters of the Air) and Liv Hill (Three Girls, The Serpent Queen) are also starring. Film Club has commenced filming in Manchester and will air next year on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three and later on ZDFneo in Germany.

Gaumont UK is producing, with Fremantle handling international sales. Show was first announced back in February. Plot follows Evie (Wood), who hasn’t left her home in six months after a ‘wobble’.

She runs a film club in her garage as an escape with her best friend Noa (Rizwan) and whoever else turns up. However, Noa reveals he has a new job that will take him to the other side of the country, forcing them to decide if they are more than friends.
