We’re one step closer to getting justice for Ahmaud Arbery! According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the father and son who are accused of killing the unarmed 25-year-old while he was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood earlier this year have finally been arrested.
The bureau confirmed that Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael were taken into custody and face charges of aggravated assault and murder.
As we reported, Greogry, a retired local police officer, claimed he thought Arbery was a burglar when he and his 34-year-old son Travis chased the black man down and shot him to death in Brunswick on February 23.
Arbery’s family maintains he was out jogging like he normally did. Related: Anna Nicole Smith’s Ex-Boyfriend Mark Hatten
