Anita Rani has said that miscarriages are still seen as ‘taboo’ after revealing earlier this year that she lost a baby. In January, the broadcaster told Red magazine that she had had a miscarriage in December 2018, and that it had taught her that it is ‘okay to be vulnerable.’ The 42-year-old Countryfile presenter revealed that since speaking about the incident she has had ‘loads of people get in touch just to say well done for speaking out’, adding that the issue is still ‘taboo.’ ‘So many women go through it and yet, it’s just such a secret that we all sort of suffer in silence,’ she told PA.
