Adam Thomas has been supported by his former Emmerdale co-star after making a 'winning' admission as it was revealed he'd picked up an award.
The actor won Best Drama Star for his role as Donte Charles in Waterloo Road at the 2024 Inside Soap Awards. Adam reprised the role in the BBC show back in January 2023 after bosses of the BBC announced in September 2021 that the school-based drama, set in Greater Manchester, would be rebooted.
The reboot of the award-winning series comes after it originally ran from 2006 to 2015 before being axed. And fans were delighted when it was confirmed Adam would be returning to the show as former pupil Donte, who was a memorable name in the first four series of the drama. Confirming his award win, the 35-year-old wrote on Instagram: "I never win anything!! I’m absolutely made up with this, not gonna lie!!
