The tragic incident took place at a store in Aintree on Tuesday night, the Liverpool Echo reports. Paramedics and a Hazardous Area Response Team were called to the store at at around 8.50pm.
The toddler was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, but Merseyside Police have since confirmed she died a short time later.
