A Place in the Sun host Laura Hamilton has shared how she is managing after finding out she has a rare blood disorder. The TV favourite, 38, is battling autoimmune disease - Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) - which she was diagnosed with after giving birth to her four-year-old daughter Tahlia.
ITP causes the body to attack its own platelets and Laura find herself covered in bruises due to the illness but bravely says that she is "fortunate" as she can manage the disease.
The mother of two told The Sun: "It's something that's kind of managed." Proving she is not dwelling on the illness, she added: "I'm quite fortunate.
