manchestereveningnews.co.ukA Lamborghini Wayne Rooney lent to Carlos Tevez when the Argentine first joined Manchester United is up for auction. Rooney reportedly offered the supercar to his new strike partner after Tevez was mocked by team-mates for driving a club-supplied Audi.
According to ESPN, Tevez recounted: "I turned up at the club in the Audi that the club gave me and everyone bugged me about it, as if it was a Fiat 600.
I spoke to Rooney about it and crazy guy that he is, he told me 'take the Lamborghini'. "So I took it and I went without registering it around Manchester with the car, this car that he gave to me." The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder was originally priced around £160,000. It will go under the hammer with Iconic Auctioneers on August 25 at the Silverstone Festival.
