FEW singers defined the early 1990s quite like pop-rap sensation Betty Boo. The star's iconic track Doin' The Do was a Top 10 hit not just in the UK but all round the world - with Boomania, the debut album she produced in her bedroom, a Platinum bestseller.
Now aged 52, the star - whose real name is Alison Moira Clarkson - is still making music. What's more despite now being a little less easy to recognise - particularly in glasses - she has stuck with the iconic hairstyle.
While not as famous as she was back in the 90s, Betty Boo has remained at the heart of some of the biggest pop tracks around.
She helped create the Hear'Say classic Pure & Simple, which she once described as her go-to karaoke track "because I wrote it, so I know it really well".
