Youngsters enjoy Dumfries and Galloway's biggest science, technology, engineering, mathematics and digital fair

The region’s largest science, technology, engineering, mathematics and digital fair for young people took place at the Crichton’s Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries on Wednesday.

More than 900 pupils from S1 to S3 from all the region’s secondary schools were invited to Bang Goes DG! 2023, organised by Developing the Young Workforce Dumfries and Galloway.

The region’s largest science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) event was sponsored and hosted by The Crichton Trust with pupils brought together to take part in various interactive workshops involving more than 40 businesses and organisations from across Scotland.

Amongst the businesses and organisations from the region at the event were Brown Brothers, Kirkcudbright’s Dark Space Planetarium, Cochran’s of Annan, Dumfries Aviation Museum, Battle Stations; Genesis OHS, 33 Air Solutions and Langholm’s Creation Mill CIC.
