A dog and its owner have been left seriously injured after being attacked by a 'Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross' at a beauty spot.
Traumatised owner Laura Trevor, 23, was left needing hospital treatment after being mauled by the animal. She and her Cavalier King Charles, Lady, aged seven, were attacked between 5.30pm and 6.15pm on March 28 in Stoke-on-Trent.
It is feared that the owner of the other dog provided false details after the ordeal after disappearing without trace, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.Laura said: "It has been traumatic.
It was me and my friend. We were just about to get back in the car. Lady was on her lead - she's always on her lead."I saw a woman who had a dog that wasn't on a lead.
