Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.

In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Young Manchester United fans get 'dream' at Carrington with players including Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United's players made memories for young fans at the Manchester United Foundation’s latest Dream Day on Monday. After United defeated Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park on Sunday night, the players met supporters who suffer from serious and life-limiting illnesses at Carrington on Monday after training.

The foundation's 'Dream Day' took place for the first time since 2019 following postponements due to the pandemic and fans also had the chance to watch the first team train from the balcony of the Jimmy Murphy Centre at Carrington. ALSO READ: Antony is saving Manchester United from £200m transfer embarrassment David De Gea, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Zidane Iqbal, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Elanga and Cristiano Ronaldo all attended the day, among with multiple other first-team stars.

Maguire was asked about the importance of Dream Day and he said: "We know how much these days mean to our club; ever since I joined the club, it's been clear to me how much we do in the community and how important that is.

Putting smiles on fans' faces and making them happy is what it's all about. We've really missed days like this, so it's great to have fans back.” Fernandes added: "Every time we do these days, it is special.
