Just seconds after referee Simon Hooper had waved play on for an offside against Harry Kane at the other end, Fernandes bent home a sumptuous effort from just inside the penalty area.
Fred's attempted effort bounced off of Eric Dier and landed kindly at the feet of Fernandes, who opened his body up and bent home a lovely right-footed effort first time.
