"Yeah, I think we did a top performance tonight," Martinez told MUTV. "We controlled the game, we played fantastic football and I'm really happy for that, really happy because this team deserves it, we always try hard and we always want to play this level." When asked specifically about stopping Kane and Son, the centre-back admitted that both players have a lot of quality. "I think we were very solid tonight, in defence.
They [Tottenham] have some of the best players in the league, they have a lot of quality, they're very strong, very technical as well.
I think we controlled the game tonight," Martinez added. "It's great to get a clean sheet. We have to keep going [was the message at half-time], you know.
