Depeche Mode has been playing venues all over the world for the past year.Back in March, the synth rock icons kicked off the first North American leg of their ‘Memento Mori Tour.’ Soon after, they trekked all over the globe and now they’re back in the U.S.
for an encore run of arena concerts with special guests Kelly Lee Owens, Young Fathers and DIIV on select dates.That includes huge gigs at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday, Oct.
21 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Oct. 28.The tour, which shares a name with Depeche Mode’s well-received new album, is the group’s first after two monumental events for the band — their 2020 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the untimely passing of keyboardist Andy “Fletch” Fletcher.Although they aren’t going to officially replace Fletch, they continue to soldier on.“The one thing I can do is make music with Martin (Gore),” frontman Dave Gahan told NME.
