Despite tea being a British staple, many of us are actually making it wrong.Instead of sticking the kettle on, roughly pouring in the water and squeezing out your tea bags, you should take a bit more time and effort.
Yorkshire Tea even says there's a specific amount of time you should wait before putting the mug to your lips – so be sure to follow these instructions next time you're having a cuppa.When boiling the kettle, the tea makers say to "treat your water kindly".
Their website adds: "Run the tap a little so the water’s nicely aerated, and only boil it once to keep the oxygen level up. Oxygen in water helps flavour!"Then it's time to "pop a tea bag into your mug, pour the hot water and stir briefly".
