TikTok videos were posted showing them enjoying their nights out with tags like #sexy and #hot.The videos, which were taken in Manchester and published without the women's consent, led to "creepy" men tracking one woman down on social media and sending her hundreds of messages.
Taken in the Spinningfields area of the city, the videos usually show unaware young women dressed up for nights out and have racked up millions of views on the social media app, reports the MEN.
Since their investigation began, TikTok have removed the account but there are fears a new account could just be set up under a different alias.
Some women claim this has already been done before.Jessica was filmed by the account while out with friends. She was targeted in two videos - one showing her walking with a friend, which gained over one million views - and another taken from above looking down her top, which had over 50,000 views.“It has made me feel really unsafe,” Jessica said . “The two videos were taken in two different places - I don’t know if they were from different times, or if we were followed."The videos were filmed when the unsuspecting woman was out for the evening celebrating her friend's birthday.
