A woman's attempt at a festive prank on her gran took an unexpected but hilarious turn after she sent her a "fake" Christmas card.

The lady, named Tegan, shared the mishap on TikTok after penning a card "from Jean and Gordon" which ultimately "backfired" spectacularly.As she sat down to enjoy her tea, gran June criticised the card's "atrocious writing" - but reminisced about working with Jean for two decades. "She used to come to my house and cut my hair," June recalled. "Her husband died and then she met this lovely man and they've had a great time together - been on a cruise."As she read on, June noted: "Gordon hasn't been so well and has had a knee-replacement.

Hope you and [husband] Geoff are well, he was always the life and soul of the party. Big news our end, we're making the move back to Manchester in February." Puzzled, June then speculated: "She must have married again and he died too before she met Gordon," and reiterated her critique: "Her writing is atrocious - she used to be such a good writer".Handing the card back to its author, Tegan admitted: "You're right, it is bad!"
