Woman with Alzheimer's goes missing as police issue urgent appeal

Police have issued an urgent appeal after a woman living with Alzheimer's was reported missing in Warrington. Carole Houghton, 72, was last seen leaving an address on Pendle Gardens in Culcheth between 12.10 and 12.30pm on Sunday (September 22).

Ms Houghton, from Warrington, can often become confused due to the progressive brain disease. Officers are urging anyone who sees her or has any information regarding here whereabouts to come forward.

Carole is described as white, 5’ 1” tall, of a slim build, and has short grey hair. Carole also wears glasses and was last seen wearing a grey coloured coat, Cheshire Police said. It is thought she is currently on foot, although does have access to a bus pass so may have caught public transport, Cheshire Constabulary said.
