Police issue major update on escaped prisoner amid huge search
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA prisoner who went on the run after receiving treatment at the Salford Royal Hospital yesterday (Monday) has now been found, police have confirmed.
Jonathan Windsor was found overnight and has been taken back into custody. The 31-year-old escaped yesterday while being 'escorted by prison staff' at the hospital.
A huge search was launched for Windsor, who was a prisoner at HMP Forest Bank. Yesterday, the public were urged not to approach him and report any sightings immediately. A number of police vehicles were parked on Wilton Road, behind the hospital site, with uniformed officers spotted speaking to local residents.
