READ MORE: 'Real-life vampire’ with 49 body modifications warns others thinking about following her Now, speaking on the Guinness World Records YouTube channel, the US-based woman has revealed that she was urged to start her mission of growing out her hair in a dream.“I started having dreams or what others may refer to as visions, where the huge cobra would appear before me and start talking to me, letting me know that I’m the chosen one,” she recalled.“I met my husband Emmanuel, who is a professional lock stylist from Nairobi, Kenya, and once we met and became one in union, he became my cobra trainer.”Now having achieved the world record for the extreme length of her hair, Asha described how she enjoyed living with her locks.“I refer to my own hair as my royal crown of locks, or my cobra… When I’m ready to go into my sleep chamber with my cobra baby, sometimes it depends on my mood, I would have him tied up into a sack and we cuddle and talk to each other.Despite her own comfort in her unusual feature, Asha admitted that she has received comments from others about her hygiene.“The most common comments I’ve had people approach me with or whisper behind my back is that, as much as they like the way I look with my locks, most others would say there’s no way that could be clean or healthy.However, the world record holder suggested that she had made the decision to keep her locks thin rather than chunky so that she would be able to get to her roots when washing her hair.
