Woman slams friend's wedding reception after being asked to pay for own takeaway

Most people expect to be catered for at a wedding reception with some food and drinks or at the very least a slice of cake from the newly weds.

However, one couple have received some backlash from their friend after hosting their wedding reception with just 12 guests and asking them to pay for their own takeaway meal, the Mirror reports.One guest took to the 'Am I Being Unreasonable?' forum on Mumsnet to describe what she dubbed as the 'worst wedding reception ever' that had no food or drink whatsoever provided.

In the post, the woman who remained anonymous said: "It was a friend's wedding last week and the happy couple invited twelve people to their reception."There was no wedding cake.

No drinks. We made ourselves cups of tea and coffee." She then detailed that the groom handed out takeaway menus for a local Indian restaurant and asked all guests to transfer the price of their dinner once he ordered it.
