A businesswoman has been hit with a £1,200 legal bill after her Golden Labrador killed three lambs during a walk in a farmer's field.

Victoria Yoxall, 56, faced charges when her unleashed pet savagely attacked the lambs as they grazed with their mothers in Upton Priory, near Macclesfield, Cheshire.

The lambs were fatally injured and left dying before the arrival of farmer Richard Sidebottom. Mr. Sidebottom had no choice but to shoot dead the Labrador as it continued its assault on the Beltex-cross sheep despite his attempts to intervene.

This incident followed the loss of another 20 lambs just days prior, which were preyed upon by a German Pointer that was also off its lead.
