Woman's body found in street as man found dead nearby two hours later

Police have launched an investigation after a woman's body was found in a street two hours before a man was also found dead nearby.

The woman in her 30s was found dead on Whalebone Lane South in Dagenham at 12.50pm today. Police are currently in the process of trying to trace her next of kin.

The man, also in his 30s, was found dead on Gosfield Road at 2.50pm, exactly two hours later. Police say the two deaths are believed to be linked.

They are treating the woman's death as suspicious and the man's as non-suspicious. Met Police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended both scenes earlier today.
