A woman has been rushed to hospital after taking unwell near a popular sports centre in Edinburgh. The alarm was raised around 6pm when officers received a concern for a person call.
Emergency services, including Police Scotland, raced to the scene outside Meadowbank Stadium, home of League One side FC Edinburgh, where they discovered the stricken victim.
The woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Her current condition is not yet known, reports EdinburghLive.
An eyewitness claimed that officers swooped on London Road, where the facility is situated, just as crowds of parents were gathering to drop their children off at athletics practice.
