An investigation has been launched after a woman was raped in a horrific attack on Blackpool seafront. Police received reports the victim was attacked along the promenade in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 16).
It was reported that the rape happened between 1.30am and 3am, between the Blue Water Hotel and the North Pier. Detectives are now appealing for information and are particularly looking to identify one man who they believe could assist with enquiries.

Insp. Liam Davy, of Lancashire Police's West CID said: “This is a serious offence, and we are working hard to identify the person responsible.
