A teenager has been arrested after a 17-year-old girl was reportedly raped on a night out in Knutsford. The girl was attacked in the town sometime between 11pm on Saturday, May 11 and 5am the following morning, Cheshire Police said.
Officers said the victim had been in and around the town centre and also the Mobberley Road area when she was raped. In an update issued on Friday (May 24), Cheshire Police said a 19-year-old male had been arrested on suspicion of rape.

He has been released with no further action to be taken against him. In a statement on Friday, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Following further enquiries, a second person, a 19-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
