A woman has been left with horrific injuries after a dog charged at her outside a Tesco Express and sank its teeth into her arm.

Aysha Rose, 30, was walking her own dog with her partner along Livesey Branch Road in Blackburn, on the evening of Sunday, June 2, LancsLive reports.

As they approached the convenience store on their route, another dog walker appeared a few feet in front of them. She told LancsLive she believes they were walking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a slip lead.

"I can't remember anything that happened after that point because I think my brain has blocked it out." "Me, my boyfriend and the owner were trying to pull the dog off but it was latched on. "It did eventually let go, but even after it let go we couldn't get control of it.
