The family of a cyclist who tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run have paid tribute to him. David Burrows was cycling to work when he was hit and critically injured Despite being taken to hospital, David sadly later died.
The driver, Anya Foster, rather than stay and help, fled the scene and was arrested later the same day. Rather than admitting her actions, the 32-year-old spun 'a web of lies' and tried to mislead police 'at multiple stages'.
She eventually admitted her actions and, on November 5, Tuesday, Foster received a sentence of six years and eight months at Liverpool Crown Court, as well as an 11-year driving ban, reports the Liverpool Echo.
