A woman has died after being hit by a train at a station in Wigan. Emergency services were called to Wigan North Western at around 6.35.pm on Wednesday (June 14) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Paramedics also attended however sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. "The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner." Samaritans (116 123) samaritans.org operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
