A four-year-old boy has sustained facial injuries and a woman has been hospitalised after a vicious dog attack in the Scottish Borders.The incident happened at around 3pm on Saturday, January 4 in Hawick.
A 35-year-old woman and the boy were walking in the Wilson Drive area when they were attacked from behind by a brown and tan Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog.The child received facial injuries as a result of the attack, while the woman suffered an arm injury.
